Blowing my own horn at ear-shattering volume
Consistency is a good thing (I think) and over the years my career interests have stayed pretty much intact — design, photography and fine art. The variables that prioritize those disciplines are the usual suspects. Time, motivation and inspiration.

Abandon all Work! A pastime I can easily subscribe to but the reality is, making art does require doing the work. Patience, persistance, dedication and the acceptance of failure are the tools that get me there at the end of the day! And to see where I've been art direction wise, follow these links to a few recent and past design and video portfolios.

A few of my favorite links and blogs

My life would be severly compromised without the NYT. The online, interactive version is the best deal on the web, hands down...and oh yeah, you can support the free press too!

A high aesthetic of editorial and portfolio driven features on art, design, photography and travel - within the contemporary realm.

If you haven’t been here yet, you need to stop by. You may never leave.

Established by Larry Gagosian in Los Angeles in 1980, Gagosian is a global gallery specializing in modern and contemporary art. His roster of artists and his presentation of their work in the physical and online world is flat-out unmatched.

A group of high-end portfolios (some published, some just self-promotion examples) that span fine art, corporate design, fashion, photography, and illustration. It's all good!

The Annenberg Space for Photography located in Los Angeles, CA is always on the cutting edge of presenting 'photography as art'.

An entertaining and informative contemporary art site by Noah Becker and his talented group of contributing art writers.

Scott Kelby's organization is a web standard for all things photography and Photoshop.

Updated daily gallery reviews featuring a wide range of contemporary art from around the world.

Co-founded by Andy Warhol in 1969, the publication transitioned to online yet remains relevant, on the edge and still crazy after all these years.

David Byrne, rock’s ultimate renaissance man (IMHO) writes about the places he tours, world music, art, current events and what ever else strikes his fancy.

Mark as a collector
I still collect art books - painters, sculptors and photographers. Here's a sampling of the library.
