Currently my painting style and direction leans towards abstraction with a measure of photo-realism — occasionally maybe even a dash of Pop Art sprinkled on top. But boy can I be one frustrated painter. Some days the paint can just flat beat me up. The tools are limited; a brush or palette knife, tubes of paint and some paper or canvas. No Photoshop to add embellishments or fix mistakes either. Plus after an investment of time in any given painting, there's legit pressure in losing the piece altogether. So perhaps I'm not really all that frustrated but rather a willing practitioner of an oils/acrylic-fueled, sado-masochism pursuits. There I said it. I feel better already.

However, at the end of some days, even a small painting victory is worth the battle!
