On a recent visit to Orange County, CA to attend a 90th Birthday celebration of Carol's sister-in-law, we made time to stop by the exquisite Orange County Museum of Modern Art (OCMA). I had followed the painter/mixed media artist (and social activist) Raymond Saunders since the 90s. We flew in on a Friday and back home on Sunday...but by some extremely lucky timing, Saturday morning we slipped into the next to last day of his fabulous exhibit at OCMA entitled Flowers from a Black Garden.
